Dr. Smith completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport ("LSUMS") in 1992. After serving for 2 years as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at LSUMS, Dr. Smith entered the private practice of pulmonary and critical medicine at the Highland Clinic in Shreveport. In 1998, Dr. Smith founded Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialists, LLC in Shreveport. Dr. Smith has served as the Medical Director of Critical Care Medicine, Cardiopulmonary Rehab and Respiratory Therapy at Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital, Shreveport, the Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy at LifeCare Hospital, Shreveport and the Medical Director of Louisiana Medical Diagnostics, Inc.
